HeloSat Rotary-Wing BLoS Communications

Hughes connects rotary wing aircraft with high-throughput satellite system technology to enable live HD video and other sensor data transmissions with multi-Mbps speeds. With advanced waveform enhancements, Hughes HeloSat can transmit bi-directionally through the rotating blades with zero packet loss.

HeloCell Solution for Extended LTE Coverage

Hughes combines its experience in satellite backhaul for mobile operators with its innovative HeloSat Solution to deliver a mobile LTE bubble network on the ground. Users can leverage mobile devices to communicate with each other as well as with mission command by backhauling traffic to the network over satellite. This flexible cellular solution can also be installed on UAVs and other aircraft enabling them to act as a cell tower in the sky.
