The Hughes HTS Flyaway solution offers a ruggedized, manual-point satellite terminal that can be rapidly deployed for reliable voice and data communications. This terminal is built with the industry-leading JUPITER™ technology and is optimized to operate throughout North America with the reliable High-throughput Satellite (HTS) service from Hughes, which delivers 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speeds.

The Hughes HTS Flyaway terminal can be easily assembled by an individual with minimal training and is designed to operate in even the harshest environments. The solution offers highly reliable communications capabilities throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) with additional coverage areas spanning key areas of Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, as well as parts of South America. With secure, high-speed Internet connection via satellite, the Hughes HTS Flyaway solution is ideal for applications, such as disaster response, border security, and oil and gas exploration.

The Hughes HM500 ManPack Terminal is a lightweight, multiband man-pack satellite terminal that provides forward deployed teams a highly portable and secure communications solution. At a transport weight of less than 31 pounds, it exemplifies the growing market trend for manpack terminals - reduced Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) requirements.

Designed with advanced commercial satcom technology for defense and public safety missions, the HM500 transportable terminal offers multi-band operation in a very lightweight ruggedized package using pre-configured settings over one of multiple frequencies, including Ku-, Ka-, Mil Ka- and X-band. Its simplified set-up, quick deployment and high data rates brings international users an ideal portable communications solution needed across a wide range of applications, from disaster relief to military operations.

The HM500 is available for operation on any of the Hughes system platforms to suit specific requirements, including the innovative software defined HM System and the industry leading JUPITER™ System, the first VSAT platform with System on a Chip (SoC) technology incorporating the latest DVB-S2X air interface standard.
